equal opportunities to live, learn, work and play

Sunshine Gardens

Welcome to I Street The I Street Program was one of the first facilities opened by Susan Abe in 1984. The main emphasis to provide meaningful experiences for persons with Developmental Disabilities has remained the major focus of the Program today. Located at 8th and I Streets in Marysville, the building is easy to find. In most cases, the staffing ratio is 1 staff to 3 consumers. Some groups are 1 staff to up to 5 persons. The Program is currently licensed for 23 Consumers.

Our Services

Varied activities take place daily. Staff provide instruction in communication techniques utilizing symbols, sign language, electronic devices and games which increase conversation and social skills.

Policy

Community Resource Services maintains an “Open Door Policy” in all their Programs.

We would appreciate the opportunity to schedule tours whenever possible.

“If a person has Opportunity, Choice and Support, their experiences become their teacher and they are empowered!”

Our Garden

The garden project is unique and there is a greenhouse available to develop new house and garden plants. Many of the items grown are used to create a variety of craft items for sale.
